Hello my lovelies
It is Katie here from Katie Snowden Hair and we have reached that magical but slightly chaotic time known as Christmas week. The fridge is full, the to do list is endless, and somehow there are more social plans than there are hours in the day. During this week, hair needs to be easy, reliable, and still look lovely with minimal effort.
Hair that works with your week At this point, your hair should already be in good shape. That is why earlier appointments matter so much. A good cut, colour, or blow dry done in the salon sets your hair up to behave itself for days. When the foundation is right, styling becomes quicker and far less stressful.
Keep it simple Christmas week is not the time to fight your hair. Embrace styles that work with your natural texture. Soft waves, smooth straight hair, or a tidy low style will always look polished without needing too much time. A professional salon finish gives you a style that falls back into place even after a busy day.
Looking after extensions If you are wearing extensions, a little care goes a long way this week. Brush gently morning and night, avoid over styling, and tie your hair loosely before bed. This keeps everything neat and comfortable so you can enjoy the celebrations without worrying about your hair.
For anyone wearing or considering hair extensions in Mijas or across the Costa del Sol, Christmas week is all about maintenance and confidence rather than big changes.
Small touch ups make a difference A quick salon visit for a blow dry, fringe tidy, or smoothing treatment can completely reset your hair if it is feeling tired. Sometimes it is the smallest appointment that makes you feel most put together.
A gentle reminder from me Christmas week should be enjoyed. Your hair does not need to be perfect every day. It just needs to make you feel like yourself. If your hair feels good, everything else feels a little easier.
This is the third blog in my Christmas series. The final post will be shared on Christmas Day and will be a thank you to all of you who have supported me throughout the year.
Until then, take a breath, enjoy the moment, and trust that your hair is one thing you have already taken care of.
