Slavic Or Asian Hair Extensions: Which Is Right For You?
Two hair types, two very different feels. Here is how I help clients choose between Premium Slavic and high quality Asian hair.
One of the questions I am asked most often is what the difference actually is between the hair options. I have been fitting extensions for well over a decade, and the hair itself matters more than any method.
At the salon we offer two ranges: high quality Asian hair and Premium Slavic hair. For a long time clients felt they had to choose between quality and price. I genuinely do not think you have to any more.
High quality Asian hair
Good Asian hair is strong, smooth and holds its shape beautifully. The strands are naturally a little thicker, which gives real fullness and makes it a lovely choice if you want volume and a polished, glossy finish. It is excellent value and, cared for properly, it performs very well.
Premium Slavic hair
Slavic hair is finer and softer, with a texture closer to most European hair. It blends almost invisibly into fine or naturally light hair, lifts well if we need to adjust tone, and moves very naturally. It is the more premium option and the one I reach for when someone has fine hair and wants the most seamless result.
So which one?
It depends on your own hair, not on what is fashionable. - Fine, soft, light hair usually suits Slavic hair best - Thicker, coarser or darker hair often blends perfectly with Asian hair - Your budget, how long you want to wear them and how much styling you do all play a part
Why I insist on seeing you in person
Photos and colour charts on a screen are never accurate. In the salon I hold the actual samples against your hair in daylight, match the depth at the root and the brightness at the ends, and often blend more than one shade. Every colour and length is there for you to see and touch.
